Dokumentationsstätte „Lager“

This small documentation centre traces how one site in Weinsberg served in turn as a training camp, a prisoner-of-war camp, a camp for Polish displaced persons and finally a transit camp for refugees and resettlers. Photos, drawings, documents, newspaper articles and texts run in chronological order, and a wall hanging of nearly 10 square metres printed with a view of the whole camp shows how it once looked. Letters and postal stamps from the prisoner-of-war camp bring everyday life there into focus.
