Stage sets, costumes, masks, props and theatre building plans fill this museum of German-language theatre. It has no permanent exhibition and instead mounts themed shows in the Electoral Gallery, built in 1780-81 beside the Hofgarten. The house also holds a very large collection of theatre photographs and a public library of about 100,000 publications.
