Between 1830 and 1874 Bremerhaven was the largest emigration port in continental Europe, and this museum tells the story on the spot. Faithfully reconstructed rooms and real family histories bring the journey overseas to life, alongside 340 years of immigration to Germany. Visitors can also research their own family history.
