Some 20,000 items across 656 square metres show how the Josefstadt grew into a middle-class district close to the centre. Panels with house numbers and street signs lead into the permanent exhibition, which includes historic plans such as Nikolaus Meldemann's of 1531. The museum is at Schmidgasse 18.
