Arche Nebra

The Nebra Sky Disc was found on the hill above this town, and this visitor centre tells its story right at the spot. The permanent exhibition follows the discovery and the era the disc comes from, and a planetarium adds a look at the night sky. The original itself is kept at the State Museum of Prehistory in Halle, so come here for the setting and the story rather than the object. Guided tours and hands-on activities are offered for individuals and groups.
