On the slope of the Hauchenberg, this open-air museum looks out over the Allgäu Alps. Several buildings, including a mountain farm, animal stalls, an alpine pasture hut and a herb garden, show daily life in a mountain village. Themes include flax growing, the rise of dairy farming under Carl Hirnbein, and modern agriculture.
