Ziegelei Erbs

This small brickworks in Pegau shows how bricks were made in the first half of the 20th century. The carefully restored plant includes an excavator, pit locomotive, tipper wagons, track and a press house, and the pre-industrial hand-moulding method is demonstrated too. Storks have nested on the kiln chimney every year since 1988.
