Torhaus Otterndorf - Sammlung Labiau/Ostpreußen

A heimat collection on the district of Labiau, on the Curonian Lagoon in East Prussia, fills this gatehouse built in 1641. You learn about the special boats used for fishing on the lagoon and the distinctive ornaments on their masts. Changing displays are held upstairs. In the walls you can still see the round archways through which carriages once drove into the castle grounds.
