Schillerhaus Rudolstadt

In 1787 Friedrich Schiller met the sisters Charlotte von Lengefeld and Caroline von Beulwitz in this house, and was struck by the open, lively intellectual atmosphere of the family. During his first longer stay in the small residence town his feelings for the sisters grew. The house tells the story of that encounter and also hosts music and literary evenings.
