Památník Lidice

This memorial commemorates the destruction of Lidice by the Nazis in June 1942. It stands above the site of the former village, in a circular building whose walkway holds a museum redesigned in 2006. On the memorial grounds you can see the foundations of the Horák farmstead, where the village men were shot, the restored foundations of the school and St Martin's church, and a sculpture group for the 82 children murdered at Chełmno. The Lidice Art Collection is part of the memorial too.
