Natur- und Jagdmuseum auf Burg Pappenheim

Housed in the former barrel hall of the counts' brewery, this museum shows nearly all of the region's native animals, along with butterflies, beetles, birds, fish, reptiles, mosses and lichens. At a large display case you can press buttons to hear the calls of the game species. Furniture and tableware with hunting decoration illustrate hunting culture, and there are works by Pappenheim-born painter Jörg Mangold. A touch-and-guess box of bark, pelts and fruit is fun for children, and a film on nature and hunting is shown.
