Memorialmuseum Friedrich Fröbel Oberweißbach

Creaking wooden stairs in a roughly 400-year-old house on the market square lead up to the life and work of Friedrich Fröbel, founder of the kindergarten and the town's most famous son. You will see his play gifts, folding, plaiting and threading work, and his mother and play songs; children can build with wooden blocks and try Fröbel-style folding. Downstairs are the tourist information, a museum shop and a small Olitäten shop with wooden toys and herbal remedies.
