Landschaftliches Museum+Vareler Windmühle
Varel, Niedersachsen
Varel's grain windmill was built in 1847/48 for the last Count of Varel and is still fully in working order. It ground grain until 1965 and has been owned by the town since 1972. In the mill and its neighbouring buildings, a local history collection of over 2,000 items shows the region's past.
