Juppenwerkstatt Riefensberg

This workshop shows how the Bregenzerwald women's costume is made, above all the juppe, with its stiff, glossy fabric pleated into hundreds of folds. The costume is still produced here in the traditional way, and on guided visits a seamstress, embroiderer, weaver or hatmaker explains the craft.
