Fürstliches Residenzschloss Detmold

In the middle of Detmold stands the residence of the counts and princes of Lippe, which grew out of a castle first recorded in 1366. The tower still has walls from around 1200, and parts of the wings date from the 14th century. The head of the House of Lippe still lives in the palace today.
