Brandenburgisches Landesmuseum für moderne Kunst

This state museum of modern art shows its work at three venues in Cottbus and Frankfurt (Oder): the Dieselkraftwerk, the Rathaushalle and the Packhof. Its collection of around 45,000 works is about 75 percent from the GDR era, deliberately leaving out Socialist Realism. Art from the early 20th century serves as a point of reference, and roughly 10 percent of the holdings date from after 1990.
