Five exhibition rooms in the well house of the Alte Saline are devoted to salt: its former importance, how it was won, the technology of brine extraction and its processing into Bad Reichenhaller AlpenSalz. You also learn how the brine springs were discovered 2,000 years ago. It makes a natural follow-on to the tour of the underground tunnels.
