Zigarren- & Heimatmuseum Schöneck/Vogtland

Cigars take centre stage in this local history museum. It focuses on Schöneck's cigar industry, which lasted over a century, explaining the filler, the wrapper leaf and the craft of making them, with live demonstrations. Further displays cover the town's history and the work and daily life of its people. The house dates from around 1834 and served as a hospital, soup kitchen, youth hostel and kindergarten; today it also holds a museum café.
