The museum occupies part of the former Büttner brothers' textile factory, later the Bewelana wool works. Its collections tell the industrial story of Bielsko-Biała through machines and equipment from local factories, chiefly textile, along with items linked to printing, firefighting and metalworking. It is a stop on the Industrial Monuments Route of Silesian Voivodeship.
