Muzeum Sztuki i Techniki Japońskiej „Manggha”

Kraków, małopolskie

This museum exists because of Andrzej Wajda, who put his Kyoto Prize money toward a building for Feliks Jasieński's collection of Japanese art. Jasieński gave more than 6,500 Japan-related items, including paintings, to Kraków's National Museum in 1920. Wajda saw them at a 1944 exhibition as a young man and was captivated. The museum stands on Konopnickiej street in the Dębniki district.
