Museum Zinkenbacher Malerkolonie

A small art museum on the Wolfgangsee devoted to the interwar years. In what was then Zinkenbach, today Abersee, artists formed a painters' colony, and it is the heart of the museum. It also looks at the lost generation: painters who had to emigrate or did not follow the new currents of painting after the war, and were forgotten. The museum stages an exhibition each summer.
