A former district-court jail holds this museum, which covers about 200 square metres over three floors and traces Dorfen and its region from prehistory to today. The entrance hall has panels on the town's history, an old map and the Wening engraving, and a prehistory room displays finds from the Höning hill, going back to the Middle Stone Age. It opened in 2004.
