In the northern Mühlviertel, right on the border with South Bohemia, this visitor centre explores people and nature in the region. The top floor traces local life from the 13th century to the 20th, with settlers, forest dwellers, farmers, woodcutters and smiths coping with long winters and poor soil. Exhibitions are in German, English and Czech, and the building is accessible.
