Burg Mylau
Reichenbach im Vogtland, Sachsen
Perched on a rocky spur above the point where the Seifenbach meets the Göltzsch, this medieval castle stands in the middle of Mylau. Its 27-metre keep dates from Romanesque times, and the complex is among the better-preserved castles in Saxony. Visitors find a single-courtyard hill castle that was once guarded by four towers and a deep dry moat.
