Von-Velen-Museum Papenburg

This open-air museum in Papenburg has reconstructed local houses furnished with old household items, showing how people lived here in earlier times. It is named after the town's founder, Dietrich von Velen, and also includes a sculpture garden. In winter, torchlit tours with spooky tales of the early settlers can be arranged.
