Langerwehe is still a pottery town, and this museum tells the story of its potters, known locally as Döppesbäcker. Eight rooms explain the range of products and techniques in working clay, including the dangerous underground digging of clay and the risky firing in a stoneware kiln. The museum occupies the village's old parsonage farm.
