Stadtmuseum Gütersloh

Alongside Gütersloh's town history, this museum in a brick building has two further permanent exhibitions, on medicine and on industry. The medical collection is its flagship and won a special prize at the European Museum of the Year Award in 1990. Highlights include a desk that belonged to Robert Koch and an iron lung from the 1950s.
