Schulmuseum Middelhagen
Mönchgut, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
In Middelhagen's former sexton's house, beside the church in the village centre, school history on the Mönchgut peninsula comes to life. You can see a one-room schoolroom where, as late as 1946, up to 60 children from first to eighth grade were taught together. The present building dates from around 1825 and housed the one-class school until 1962.
