Schlossmuseum Pillnitz

Housed in the New Palace of Pillnitz Castle, this museum traces how a pleasure palace became a Saxon summer residence. The permanent exhibition has a gallery of Wettin ancestors with prints and busts of Saxon rulers, everyday objects from the court and a video installation on how the castle was built. The visit also takes in the domed hall, the Catholic castle chapel and the former Royal Court Kitchen.
