Museumshof Emmerstedt
Helmstedt, Niedersachsen
A farmstead dating from 1753, a so-called Kothsassenhof, serves as a rural village museum in Emmerstedt. The farm was altered and extended several times up to 1850 but has largely kept its original form. A local heritage association bought it in 1991 and, with a great deal of its own work, turned it into a museum.
