Museum im Gerberhaus
Bretten, Baden-Württemberg
Dating from 1585, the Gerberhaus is the oldest residential and working building in Bretten and one of the few to survive the great town fire of 1689. Townspeople saved it from demolition and restored it as volunteers. Inside, the museum shows domestic life of the past and the history of tanning and leatherworking.
