The former spa house Golden Grape, later Goethe House, holds five memorial rooms for Johann Wolfgang Goethe, with period furniture and letters recalling his visits in 1820–1823. Other displays cover famous guests including King Edward VII, spa treatment and mineral waters with models of spring catchments and a period tin bath, the town's history, and folk ceramics, pewter, porcelain and glass.
