A former umbrella factory from 1928, built in the Bauhaus style, houses this museum of modern and contemporary art. It grew out of the collection assembled by Aachen collectors Irene and Peter Ludwig. Since 1991 it has shown international contemporary art here, and the converted factory building is part of the appeal.
