This is the last narrow-gauge railway in North Rhine-Westphalia still running. The Kleinbahnmuseum near Gangelt keeps small-railway history alive, with steam and diesel trains in season, so you can ride the historic line rather than just look at it. The route runs through the Selfkant countryside.
