Kindermuseum Schönbrunn
Wien, Wien
Tucked into the west wing of Schönbrunn Palace, this is a hands-on world for children, who are encouraged to touch, try things out and experiment at stations made just for them. Play is the way in to everyday life at an eighteenth-century Baroque imperial court and to the life of Empress Maria Theresa. It has been open since 2002, with guided tours and workshops alongside.
