Gottlieb-Daimler-Geburtshaus
Schorndorf, Baden-Württemberg
Gottlieb Daimler was born in 1834 in this half-timbered house on Höllgasse, the son of a baker; his grandfather had bought it in two instalments in 1787 and 1806. The small museum shows his journeyman's piece, animal drawings that reveal his talent for sketching, and a few personal belongings of the engine pioneer. Entry is free.
