Near the main entrance to Wewelsburg castle, a former SS guardhouse holds the permanent exhibition Ideology and Terror of the SS. It covers the history of the SS, especially at Wewelsburg, and the fate of prisoners in the Niederhagen concentration camp. Exhibits include a model of the camp, prisoners' clothing, and video and audio testimony from witnesses. Entry is free.
