Brehm-Gedenkstätte
Renthendorf, Thüringen
Set in the former homes and workplaces of the Brehm family, this museum honours the naturalists Christian Ludwig and Alfred Brehm. Visitors see furniture, everyday objects, books, souvenirs from Alfred's travels and original bird specimens prepared by Christian Ludwig Brehm. The most valuable part is over 2,000 handwritten documents of the family. The village church and the cemetery with the Brehm graves lie next door.
