Theaterfigurenmuseum Lübeck

Five old brick merchant houses on the narrow street Kolk, close to St. Peter's church in Lübeck's old town, hold a collection of puppets from Europe, Africa and Asia. You will find puppet stages and barrel organs, shadow plays, rod-and-string marionettes and a few curiosities, tracing the history and present of puppetry. The holdings run to more than 20,000 pieces, and the same site also has a puppet theatre with a regular programme.
