Territorial-Museum

Two timber-framed houses from the 16th century, once the official farmstead of the Geiling von Altheim family, house this museum of local and town history in Babenhausen. The half-timbering features carved wild men and curved braces, and the buildings are protected monuments. The architecture alone is worth a look before you turn to the story of the town.
