Spielzeugmuseum Nürnberg

Toys from antiquity to the present day fill about 1,400 square metres, telling a cultural history of play. The building on Karlstraße is worth a look in itself: first mentioned in 1517, it gained a three-storey Renaissance gable in 1611, and later a Baroque oriel and a Rococo stucco ceiling. Inside, a wooden gallery runs around the courtyard.
