This hands-on museum stands where the Upper Germanic-Raetian Limes met the Lower Germanic Limes, and it tells of life for Romans and Germans on the empire's frontier. The main building has exhibits and information panels on daily life at the border, and the displays continue in the open-air grounds. The site covers about 6,000 square metres and serves as the Rhineland-Palatinate information centre for the Limes.
