Muzeum Polskiej Sztuki Ludowej

This private house in Otrębusy holds folk art gathered over more than forty years by Marian Pokropek, a professor of ethnology: carvings, paintings, whistles, Easter palms, decorated eggs, wicker baskets, straw work and paper cut-outs. Since opening in 1996 it has staged over twenty exhibitions, on subjects such as nativity scenes, birds in folk tradition and the Passion in painting and sculpture. Note that since late 2014 it has served research only, and visits are limited to people with a genuine interest in studying folk art.
