Muzeum im. Gustawa Morcinka w Skoczowie

An old eighteenth-century townhouse in Skoczów holds the memory of the writer Gustaw Morcinek, with a biographical exhibition on his life and work. The collections also reach far back into local history, from the Stone Age to the early Middle Ages, with some of the archaeological finds coming from the collection of Karol Prause. Upstairs, a display on the traditional crafts of Cieszyn Silesia shows tools and objects from tanning, pottery, violin making, gunsmithing, goldsmithing and clockmaking.
