Klostermuseum im Pfarrhof

This museum in the old parish house tells the church and local history of Steingaden. Its focus is the monastery, founded in 1147 as a Premonstratensian house and used by the Welf family as their family monastery and burial place. It is a good first stop for understanding the town and its religious art.
