Johann-Flierl-Museum

On the first floor of the old village school in Fürnried, a permanent exhibition follows the life and work of the missionary Johann Flierl, in the very room that was once his classroom. It traces his story and the rise of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Papua New Guinea, still the largest in the Pacific region. You will find items from Flierl's day, original objects from Papua New Guinea, photographs and posters, plus five films, a slide presentation, an audio-play station and a computer terminal.
