Hunsrück-Museum Simmern

A good place to get to know the Hunsrück region, this local museum in Simmern covers the history of the town and the countryside around it. Alongside it you will find a collection of fossils and the paintings of Friedrich Karl Ströher, which form an art collection of their own. It all sits inside the Neues Schloss. A branch in the Ziegelmayer building complex, the Edgar Reitz Filmhaus, belongs to the museum as well.
