Furniture of the Habsburg monarchs is the heart of this museum, which grew out of the imperial furniture stores. It traces Viennese cabinetmaking and interior design from the court suppliers to Adolf Loos, Josef Hoffmann and Otto Wagner, who shaped domestic life in the city. The main building stands on Andreasgasse in the 7th district.
