Heimatmuseum Lenggries

Right on the Rathausplatz, this local museum covers the cultural history of the Isarwinkel in seven sections. The tour starts with the region's wildlife and its settlement in the Bronze Age, then moves to the two medieval castles in the Isar valley, local history, devotional life and costumes with pieces from the 17th to 19th centuries. It goes on to customs, crafts and farming, and ends with timber rafting, the trade Lenggries is known for.
