Heimat- und Landlermuseum Bad Goisern

Small but fine, this museum occupies the former retirement house of the Goiserer mill and tells the story of the village, its crafts and its culture. The highlight is a fully furnished, original cobbler's workshop, where the Goiserer was once made, the hardwearing boots of foresters, hunters, woodsmen and mountaineers. You will also find displays on marksmen's traditions, Goiserer violins, mementos of the bonesetter Gottlieb Oberhauser, and a documentation of Konrad Deubler (1814–1884), mayor and self-taught farmer-philosopher.
